Northern Territory WOWS Japan
We have led a successful trade development and investment delegation to World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, between 24 and 26 September 2025.
The delegation included 20 Territorians comprising of 18 organisations across a broad range of industries including hospitality, agriculture, art and culture, energy, digital and AI.
The delegation promoted investment opportunities, explored new export markets and built relationships with Japan and other international markets.
The Northern Territory Government delivered key events over 3 days in the Australia Pavilion, including:
- Taste of Australia’s Northern Territory Barbeque – featuring local produce
- Australia’s Northern Territory Energy Luncheon – highlighting opportunities in the Beetaloo Sub-basin, carbon capture storage (CCS), critical and rare earth minerals, and more
- face-to-face meetings – between Territorian businesses and potential investors, partners and government officials
- site visits – Carbon Recycle Factory Osaka Gas Methanation Demonstration and a Retail Market Tour
- branding workshop and masterclass – tailored specifically for Australian businesses seeking to succeed in the Japanese market.
