Top End
Encompasses the Tiwi Islands, Daly and West Arnhem regions, extending from Wadeye in the west to Maningrida in the east.
Greater Darwin
Includes the cities of Darwin and Palmerston, the Litchfield Shire, East Arm and Robertson Barracks.
Big Rivers
The second largest region, stretching between the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf in the west to Gulf of Carpenteria in the east.
Barkly
The Territory’s third largest region extends along the Stuart Highway from Tara to Elliott and east across the Barkly Tablelands to Queensland.
East Arnhem
Situated in the far north‑eastern corner of the Territory and covers East Arnhem Land, Groote Eylandt, Bickerton IsIand and Elcho Island.
Central Australia
The Territory’s largest region, with Alice Springs as its main centre.
