Mining and critical minerals
Core Lithium Finnis Operations
Located 88km south-west of Darwin with direct access to Darwin Port is the Northern Territory's first lithium mine. A recent restart study positions the Finnis Operations as a lower-cost, more resilient project with a potential 20-year mine life. New strategic offtake opportunities are currently sought.
Wonarah Phosphate
Avenira Ltd is progressing development of the Wonarah Phosphate Project, located 245km east of Tennant Creek, near the Barkly Highway. Avenira aims to mine and process high-grade phosphate ore from its tier 1, 100% owned Wonarah Phosphate Mine. The first stage of the project is designed as a simple open cute mining and direct shipping ore operation.
Leliyn Graphite Project
The Leliyn Graphite Project is located on 100% owned Kingsland Minerals tenements, situation less than 30km northeast of Pine Creek. Leliyn is one of Australia's largest graphite deposits. The project has submitted a mining lease application and commenced a scoping study.
Rover 1 Copper-Cobalt-Gold Project
Castile Resources Ltd's Rover 1 is a polymetallic oxide copper-gold (IOCG) deposit located 80km southwest of Tennant Creek. Castile Resources Ltd have a bankable feasibility study in progress including a proposed processing facility at Middle Arm Precinct.
Nolans Rare Earths Project
Australian company Arafura Rate Earths Limited (Arafura) is focused on the exploration and development of rare earth minerals, particularly neodymium and praseodymium (NdPr), at its Nolans Project located 135km from Alice Springs. These elements are crucial for various technologies, including electric vehicles and wind turbines.
Jervois Copper Project
Considered the largest and most advanced copper development in the Northern Territory, the Jervois Copper Project is being developed by KGL Resources. KGL continues to advance toward a final investment decision in 2025 with an ongoing focus on exploration and growth.
Mount Todd Gold Project
Vista's ready-to-build Mount Todd Gold Project (Mt Todd) is one of the largest development-stage gold deposits in Australia. Currently not in production, Vista Gold is expecting to complete its new feasibility study in mid-2025 prior to making a final investment decision on the project.
