Jervois Copper Project

Considered the largest and most advanced copper development in the Northern Territory, the Jervois Copper Project is being developed by KGL Resources. It is located approximately 380 km by road northeast of Alice Springs along the Plenty Highway.
In October 2026, KGL announced it had reached Final Investment Decision for the project, following a successful AU$300 million equity raise to fully fund its development. Civil works have commenced, with construction expected to begin in early 2027.
The project has all necessary approvals to commence construction. Steady-state operations are expected to deliver an average of 30 kt per annum of contained copper in a 27% saleable copper concentrate.
The February 2025 feasibility study update demonstrated the project is technically robust and financially viable. A Baseline Economic Model released in April 2026, using more recent economic data, showed a post-tax NPV of AU$839 million, an IRR of 31% and a simple payback period of 3.1 years over a 10-year mine life.
KGL has also entered into a US$300 million Precious Metals Purchase Agreement with Wheaton Precious Metals International Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wheaton Precious Metals Corp, to partly fund construction of the project. In return, Wheaton will have access to a proportion of silver and gold offtake from the project. Copper remains unencumbered.
