The Northern Territory, through the Department of Trade, Business and Asian Relations was a bronze partner of the Australian Pavilion at World Expo 2025 Osaka.
The World Expo was a major global event that attracted over 28 million visitors across 160 participating countries.
The World Expo enabled the Northern Territory to strengthen our bilateral relationship with Japan and showcase our unique strengths to a global audience.
A Northern Territory delegation travelled to World Expo 2025 Osaka (in September) to unlock new trade and investment opportunities and forge new international partnerships.
World Expo 2025 Osaka opened on 13 April and ran until 13 October 2025.

NT Trade development and investment delegation
The Northern Territory Government led a trade development and investment delegation to World Expo 2025 Osaka from 24 and 26 September 2025.
The delegation included 20 Territorians representing 18 organisations across a broad range of industries including hospitality, agriculture, art and culture, energy, digital and AI.
The delegation did a great job in promoting investment opportunities, exploring new export markets and building relationships with Japan and other international markets.
