Singleton Farm, part of Singleton Station, is located in the Western Davenport area of the Northern Territory's Barkly region, approximately 150km south of Tennant Creek and is adjacent to the existing power network from Tennant Creek, the Stuart Highway and the Adelaide to Darwin Railway.
Singleton Farm is to be developed in 4 stages over a 9-year period with separate water allocations for each stage. A range of fruit trees, grape vines and seasonal vegetables will be grown on up to 3300ha or less than 2% of Singleton Station.
The farm will be a showcase for premium food production using state of the art farming practices and technology to achieve the most efficient water use, supported by proven sustainable environmental practices.
Singleton Farm presents a unique opportunity to be involved in a new long-term development which will deliver significant economic and social benefits for communities in the region as well as for the Northern Territory.
Fortune Agribusiness is committed to bringing as much of the supply chain for its development and operation as close as possible to the farm site. We will establish farming and community infrastructure which may be shared with other agriculture development projects in the region.
Our operating philosophy is to engage and collaborate with the local community and stakeholders to create and share social and economic benefits, and to protect important cultural and environmental features, such that the Western Davenport region will become a showcase for food production in Australia and worldwide.
We will provide the cleanest and freshest produce for the people of Australia, Asia and beyond.

Project specifics
Access to reliable and high security groundwater resources
The Project site lies on the Western Davenport Central Plains region, which has an estimated groundwater storage greater than 138,000,000 ML. The Project will have access to 40,000 ML of groundwater annually, providing reliable and high security water for irrigation. The groundwater will be extracted immediately under the cropping area, without the need for water storage and transmission infrastructure.
Ideal soil and climate conditions
The soil is a deep, coarse-grained, sandy loam, with excellent drainage and the climate has warmer winters, no frost and low humidity. The soil and climate conditions are ideal for growing a variety of horticulture crops.
Low pest and disease prevalence
The Project area has minimal pest and disease issues affecting horticultural production. This is a key advantage which will be maintained with careful management of biosecurity, to prevent and quickly respond to any incursions.
Selected crops
Detailed market analysis has led to the selected crops for the Project, including mandarins, table grapes, dried grapes, onions, avocados, muskmelons and jujube. Those selected crops are not only suitable for production in the region, but also have access to growing domestic and export markets. The location has significant seasonal window advantages.
Experienced management team
The Project is being managed by an experienced team with complementary skills across farm management, water, infrastructure, horticulture, finance and capital markets. This team has brought extensive experience in large scale project development and farm management to the Project.
