Wonarah Phosphate Project

Avenira Ltd is progressing development of the Wonarah Phosphate Project, located 245km east of Tennant Creek, near the Barkly Highway.
The company aims to mine and process high-grade phosphate ore from its Tier 1, 100% owned Wonarah Phosphate Mine. The first stage of the project is designed as a simple open cute mining and direct shipping ore (DSO) operation.
The demand for phosphate for fertilisers will continue as global food production needs increase. Rapid growth of lithium-iron-phosphate batteries for the electric vehicle and energy storage industries provides an additional market for phosphate products.

About the project
Open pit mining of 1.3 Mtpa of phosphate from the Arruwurra deposit at Wonarah, and production of a DSO product for export of phosphate rock. Feasibility underway for a beneficiation plant for lower grade feedstocks, and potential future Yellow Phosphorus plant.
