Leliyn Graphite Project
Located on 100% owned Kingsland Minerals tenements, this project is situated less than 30 km northeast of Pine Creek and 2 hours from Darwin along the Northern Territory’s central infrastructural corridor.
Leliyn is one Australia’s largest graphite deposits and occurs in a 20 km-long graphitic schist unit with a true width in excess of 100 m, with a current total mineral resource of 14.2 Mt of graphite.
The company has submitted a mining lease application and released a scoping study in September 2025, reporting strong project economics and establishing a pathway toward a prefeasibility study (PFS).
Initial metallurgical testing indicates a commercial-grade concentrate of >94% total graphitic carbon. Further analysis shows a very fine flake product able to produce 99.97% purified spherical graphite. Recent work has highlighted the potential recovery of gallium and rutile by-products.
Kingsland are also investigating the potential for producing gallium as a by-product. Metallurgical testing indicates 94.4% gallium extraction from graphitic schist with a test feed grade of 21 ppm Ga.
Kingsland Minerals plans to leverage strategic investment from Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, which holds a 15.3% direct equity stake. Kingsland has agreements with Quinbrook for the offtake of flake graphite concentrate and the supply of renewable energy. Quinbrook is also exploring further processing of the concentrate into purified spherical graphite at a proposed facility in Darwin.
Graphite is an essential mineral for battery anode material, with the graphite market forecast to move into deficit driven by electric vehicle battery demand and new export restrictions by key producers.
